Kalpna Chawla was a well-known Indian origin American astronaut & engineer she was born in 1962 'In Karnal' a small city in India, she had an interest in space when she was just 3 years old, this interest has arisen in her mind when she was traveling in-plane with her parent's, because of her deep interest in astronaut she obtained a degree in aeronautical engineering from Punjab Engineering College After completing her engineering degree in India, she went United State s in the 1980s to obtain master & doctorate in aerospace engineering, and began working at NASA's Ames Research Center, in 1994 and she was selected as an astronaut candidate.
